Dr. Seuss Week

I realize I am very late in posting these projects. Life has been busy (probably because I'm not hardly as organized as I used to be). We had a very fun Suess Week full of fun art projects, activities, and books.

I already had the red and white chevron paper up from Valentines Day, so I just added a Cat in the Hat border and baaam! It turned into a great Suess bulletin board. The 2 project seen here were very easy to make with 2 year olds. The first one we used a plate and I had pre cut a ham coloring sheet and the kids watercolor painted it brown, then I had pre cut some funky circle-ish shapes that they painted green and then they helped me cut out yellow circles for the egg yolk. We taped the green eggs and ham to the plate and that's it! I wrote (child's name) green eggs and ham around the border of each plate.
The second project was a little more work for me than the kiddos I had pre-cut a fish bowls and cut out the centers and laminated them to give them a glossy middle to look like water. Then I painted their hands (1 blue, 1 red) and they helped me glue them to the plate. Then we stapled the plate to the fish bowl for a 3D effect. It turned out lovely if Ido say so myself :)

I traced this little fella onto some gray poster board from hobby lobby with an old fashioned over head projector! Letter were made with me alphalicious cricut cartridge. Originally I had planned on putting little pics of the kids on each little Pom Pom but I didn't get to do it:(
